Cycling (VTC) and Mountain Biking (VTT) We
have some bikes at Domaine de Pine but you can also hire bikes for road or
trail locally, or of course, you can bring your own. We have a guide with maps
showing the walking and mountain biking routes in the area. The trails are
usually clearly marked with coloured arrows and the guides show the route in
detail and describe notable sights to look out for on the way.
Horse riding Many riding stables offer rides
and pony treks and there are two particularly well-designed and adaptable
routes that offer riders the best possible way of getting to know the
départements main features: chateaux, bastides, mills,
pigeonniers, the landscape and, of course, the finest country food and wines.
The Prune Trail As its name suggests, this trail in
the East of Lot-et-Garonne runs by the plum tree orchard areas that produce the
famous prunes. The trail is designed around 4 or 7 halts, via the Pays de
Serres, the Lot Valley and the forests of the Upper Agenais and
Perigord.
Adventure Parks
From May 1st to the end of October, the Walibi
Aquitaine attraction and leisure park provides all a family could want for a
days distraction on the rides and roundabouts holidays are an excuse for.
An unforgettable day out where the rides, spectacular shows and special events
offer a dynamic contrast to the more typically serene activities in this area.
Close to Agen, Walibi nestles in over 30 hectares of lush greenery, beneath the
bemused gaze of a genuine 18th Century castle.
